RARE Large size vintage Motion Oil Rain Lamp. Rare and hard to find one since most of these are made with a goddess in the middle of them but this one features an old Mill with Waterwheel. The oil travels around the waterwheel and down the strings. The oil traveling down strings looks like rain drops. Simply fill with mineral oil and you have a real show piece. It is missing it plastic greenery or plastic plants, but they can be easily replaced with fresh clean ones. There are holes by mill to stick them in or leave them out. It is a genuinely nice high quality decorative piece with the faux decorative wood trim around the top and bottom and also the metal finials on the top and bottom. It is appx 14in wide and 36in tall from top of finial to bottom finial on piece. It is marked on the side of the mill-in Johnson Indin (Industries) I found a great website with the history of rain lamps and other information such as how to clean and fill and an explanation of how it works as well if interested it is. I learned that these were invented in 1957! It has a nice long chain and cord with an on/off switch on the cord. Cord is 14 feet long and chain is 12 feet long. It has a Johnson Industries sticker and two other stickers on it on the upper inside of lamp. It is a great display piece and only will increase in value as the years go on.
