dietze comet Lantern was originally made in 1934. They were exported and sold domestically during WWII. They became the official Lantern of the Boy Scouts. dietz original glass red oil Lantern measures to be approximately 9 inches tall the base is 4 1/2 inches in diameter does show some aging but is in good condition. Solid metal frame with metal crisscross pattern over the glass.
